The next step after the CBCI. This course is for professionals who want to move from foundation knowledge to assessing what an organisation needs and leading continuity across it.
The ABCM builds on the CBCI and sits above it in the BCI certification pathway. It develops your ability to assess and determine business continuity requirements, and brings together leadership and management skills with the technical practices needed to put continuity in place across an organisation. It is recommended for professionals who have passed the CBCI exam. For other entry requirements, candidates should contact the BCI Learning Team.
The certification is aligned to the competencies expected at Associate Member of the BCI (AMBCI) level, so achieving it allows you to apply directly for AMBCI membership.
ADOX can arrange this course as an authorised BCI training partner. Dates are available on request.

The Good Practice Guidelines (GPG) 7.0 is the BCI’s global guide to good practice in business continuity. It is now reviewed every year to keep pace with the changing practices of the industry, and it is centred on a Business Continuity Management System, replacing the older lifecycle wording, with strong links to ISO 22301:2019. The GPG is organised in six Professional Practices, two management and four technical, which structure the development of a Business Continuity Management System.
Setting up the system that governs and directs business continuity in the organisation.
Making business continuity part of how the organisation thinks and works, every day.
Understanding the organisation, its priorities and the threats it could face.
Shaping the strategies and plans that will keep critical activities running.
Putting those strategies and plans in place across people, process and technology.
Exercising, testing and reviewing to prove the system works and keep it current.
