Courses and training

Is ADOX an authorised BCI training partner?
Yes, ADOX is authorised by the BC Institute to deliver public and in-house BCI training courses, online or in the classroom, in the Gulf States and Middle East.
How are the public courses delivered?
The public courses run online via MS Teams, as 4-day courses. BCI courses are delivered online or in the classroom.
Can you run a course just for our team?
Yes. In-house courses can be scheduled at the client’s convenience. See In-House Courses.
Where can I find the next course dates?
In the Upcoming courses section on the Training page, with dates as listed by the BCI.
What is the CBCI 7.0 Certification Course?
A comprehensive course covering the full range of practices used by business continuity professionals to develop, implement and maintain an effective business continuity management system. The BCI lists it over 3 to 5 days; ADOX delivers it as a 4-day online course for organisations in the GCC.
What is GPG 7.0?
The BCI’s global guide to good practice in business continuity: reviewed every year, centred on a Business Continuity Management System, set out in six Professional Practices and linked to ISO 22301:2019.
Which standards does your work align with?
ISO 22301, UAE NCEMA 7000 and the BCI Good Practice Guidelines (GPG 7.0).
Can I ask about my specific learning requirements before booking?
Yes. You are welcome to send your learning requirements to the ADOX team first, so ADOX can understand your needs and learning requirements.

CBCI exam

When should I book my CBCI exam?
You book the exam yourself, directly with the BCI. It is now delivered online only, so it no longer takes place on the last day of the course.
What equipment do I need for the online exam?
These are the minimum requirements:
  • A desktop computer or laptop in good working order with 1 GB of RAM or more. Tablets, Chromebooks and mobile phones cannot be used.
  • A working webcam (640x480 video resolution) and microphone, built in or external.
  • Working speakers connected to the computer.
  • An internet connection of at least 2 Mbps download and 2 Mbps upload. Hotspots are not recommended.
  • A browser (IE/Edge, Firefox, Chrome or Safari) with the pop-up blocker turned off.
Sitting the exam connects you to a site outside your network’s security settings. If you take it at work, ask your IT department to open ports 80, 443 and 1935.
Is the exam still on the last day of the course?
No. The course once ran over five days, with four days of training and the exam on day five. Since COVID the exam has been available online only, and you can book it for any time. We recommend sitting it as soon as you can after the course, to get the most from the GPG training and your learning.
How do I access the Good Practice Guidelines?
The BCI provides the GPG as a PDF soft copy, and printing it is not permitted. If you would rather have a hard copy, you can order one from the BCI website.
